Job Summary

The Talent Acquisition Manager will develop and execute successful recruiting strategies and tactics to hire the right people, for the right roles, at the right time. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Human Resources, this position is responsible for developing new strategies to attract top talent for key roles such as CDL Drivers, Managers in Training (MITs), Interns, and more. This includes partnering with hiring managers around the country to understand specific needs and identifying the most appropriate recruiting methods to attract the highest-quality candidates for open positions. The Talent Acquisition Manager will also partner effectively with senior stakeholders, manage and develop a team of recruiters, and seek ways to continuously improve the candidate experience.



  • Enhances, delivers and maintains talent acquisition strategy consisting of standardized full-cycle recruiting processes and tools to ensure best practice and consistency. Includes leading and managing all talent acquisition processes and vendor relations.
  • Sets high recruitment standards, and maintains operational excellence and compliance. Analyzes and presents recruitment metrics as required.
  • Identifies and drives continuous improvement to ensure deadlines are met, while maintaining quality. Includes maintaining knowledge with the current trends in talent landscape, recruiting methodologies and tactics in various markets.
  • Designs talent acquisition strategies and recruiting campaigns to attract diverse candidates, support growth and expansion, and build POOLCORP’s talent pipeline.
  • Leads, manages and develops the recruiting team, ensuring their skills and capabilities reflect industry excellence and best practices.
  • Partners with other members of the human resources team on special projects.
  • Acts as point of escalation for Talent Acquisition customers and issues resolution on operational matters.
  • Translates business needs into detailed team priorities and establishes objectives to ensure success.
  • Leads and champions the use of technology to improve processes, enhance analytics, and provides best in class candidate experiences.
  • Ensures all Talent Acquisition processes are compliant with federal and state regulations.
  • Partners with business leaders, Hiring Managers, HR Business Partners, and other key stakeholders to ensure recruiting expectations are met or exceeded and are aligned with strategic priorities.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelors in Human Resources, Business or relevant field.
  • 5+ years of professional recruiting experience and 3+ years of leadership experience.
  • Expertise with Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Proficiency with talent acquisition concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Skilled in developing, tracking and reporting performance metrics.
  • Proven skills in leading and developing a high performing team.
  • Track record of success in creating & sustaining a team focused on customer service.
  • Ability to manage projects, timelines and deliverables.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle details when needed.
  • Evidence of self-initiative, personal accountability, and follow through.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with agility to juggle competing tasks and demands.
  • High level of discretion with confidential material.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; experience with presentations to management.
