Job Summary

POOLCORP is looking for an experienced technologist to lead the configuration and rollout of a new product information management system (PIM) as well as the launch of a new PIM functional area. This position is responsible for ensuring accuracy and completeness for all data requirements related to POOLCORP's product offerings, from induction of new items to on-going maintenance of data and images. This role owns supplier relationships from a data perspective, operates cross-functionally with internal customers and is involved in process improvement opportunities. 



  • Maintains a high standard of complete and accurate product specifications and attributes.
  • Works with data owners and data stewards to verify data accuracy and integrity.
  • Monitors data quality and provides adapted reporting to all concerned teams and managers in order to maintain or increase the level of data quality.
  • Monitors and track data quality issues, identify gaps, build action plans to remediate gaps, execute and monitor plans.
  • Develops standards and policies in data governance and readiness.
  • Performs data corrections through analyzing data for errors and formulating corrective procedures to be implemented by PIM Applications Specialist.
  • Works in close partnership with project and cross-functional teams across the organization to define business rules and cleansing requirements for the data transformation process.
  • Provides recommendations on industry leading best practices, services, and systems used for the improvement of data quality.
  • Works with other team members to efficiently troubleshoot issues related to data integrations.
  • Serves as the single point of contact for data accuracy issues; updating and publishing corrected data on-demand.
  • Works closely with product owners, brand and marketing managers and PIM Applications Specialist to create appropriate models to publish our products catalog
  • Works closely with PIM Business Analyst to facilitate requirement sessions with stakeholders and create comprehensive requirement documents by deconstructing high-level information into general
  • Works with Sourcing/Purchasing to educate suppliers on Poolcorp’s requirements for entry of new items into or system, including image accuracy and proper image formats
  • Originates and maintains detailed product information for the full life-cycle of products
  • Ensures the highest degree of data quality
  • Researches and analyzes multiple sources in order to determine correct operational data values and attributes
  • Participates in process improvement initiatives  
  • Develops feedback to improve internal processes, cross-functional processes, and system performance


  • Minimum of 3 years of hands on experience in product information and e-commerce platforms (on premise and cloud) in a multinational global company environment. 
  • Over 5 years of direct responsibility for commerce technology platforms and content lifecycle management 
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Management, Computer Sciences or related fields
  • Extensive understanding of e-commerce information exchange standards
  • Knowledge of the product lifecycle, taxonomy models and distribution/publishing practices
  • Proven track record of managing cross platform digital projects with large groups of distributed stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of all phases of digital development from concept to information architecture to design, development, and QA
  • Working understanding of business and system process within one or more knowledge areas
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment a must
  • Strong understanding of database concepts using Microsoft SQL.
  • Strong understanding of Master Data Management strategies, MDM services and capabilities, metadata management, data governance and data quality solutions.
  • Experience working with a top tier Product Information Management(PIM) systems is a required and experience working with InRiver is a major plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high-energy environment and capable of managing multiple objectives simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to quickly synthesize data and develop recommendations.
  • Self-motivated, requiring minimal direct supervision.
  • Experience in wholesale distribution industry is a plus.
