Job Summary
The Mechanic repairs and services all equipment and tools in the outdoor power equipment industry.  This position is responsible for repairing equipment in a timely and cost effective manner while meeting our customers and manufacturers requirements and expectations.  Equipment ranges from electric, gas, hydraulic and/or diesel.
  • Greets and assists customers upon arrival. Establishes relationships with customers, over the phone and via email in a professional, intelligent and friendly manner.
  • Establishes a well-organized repair shop.
  • Responds to email correspondence in a timely manner.
  • Visually checks in and assesses equipment being repaired.
  • Maintains daily log for work that has been performed. 
  • Receives and evaluates parts that arrive via UPS or FedEx and runs daily reports.
  • Updates and maintains accurate information on the share point site. 
  • Able to run forklift and asset in yard as needed.
  • Daily registers equipment for warranty purposes. 
  • Assembles new equipment and ready’s them for sale .
  • Runs scheduled daily, weekly and monthly reports and forwards to appropriate personnel.
  • Confirms the number of repairs each week with the sales center manager.
  • Other duties as assigned. 
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years related experience.
  • The ability to move 100 pounds with a dolly.
  • Strong counter “presence” and the ability to deal directly with customers for a large portion of the day.
  • Strong customer-service attitude.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented personality.
  • Good computer skills including MS Office programs.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment dealing with inventory, product allocations and customer issues.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, percentages.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
