The Digital Content Specialist is responsible for building and executing digital strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, and messaging and audience identification.
  • Proactively and consistently reports and recommends new digital platforms, trends and strategies to improve our performance.
  • Provides suggestions regularly and without prompting for features, functionality, and content elements to enhance usage of the content and engagement.
  • Performs research as part of daily work (especially on the Web and through publications) on all swimming pool and outdoor living related and associated product subject matter for use or promotion through digital platforms quickly to take advantage of events/trends/current events.
  • Builds and executes social media strategy through competitive and audience research.
  • Moderates all user-generated content in line with corporate image.
  • Assists with updating the content on all platforms in a proactive, methodical, self-motivated approach with minimal supervision.
  • Generates, edits, publishes and shares daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action.
  • Contributes to the organization’s centralized digital content team, the individual(s) will be expert at writing creative and engaging content.
  • Helps to optimize published content, including SEO.
  • Creates editorial calendars and syndication schedules.
  • Continuously improves by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing.
  • Ability to create superior, original content, consistently maintaining a high design standard.
  • Strong sense of design, branding, layout and composition.
  • Strong working knowledge of current Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Adobe Acrobat. Microsoft Office:  Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities and work well under pressure; deadline-driven.
  • Current knowledge of industry standards, trends; up-to-date design skills and software.
  • Strong customer/client service skills.
  • Skilled at performing in a team environment as well as being a strong individual contributor.
  • Excellent organization, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
