Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Benefits Manager to lead the administration and maintenance of employee benefits across the US and Canada.  This position provides guidance and administrative assistance on various employee benefit plans including, but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and the 401(k) plan.  This individual must also have a desire to stay current with national trends and changing legal requirements to ensure POOLCORP’s continued competitive position and compliance.  Working closely with the Sr. Benefits Manager, this individual develops, recommends and implements new or modified plans and employee benefits policies. And equally important, this role is responsible for the continued education of our employees to make sure they understand and fully utilize their benefits offerings.


Responsibilities:

  • Administer Medical, Prescription Drug, Dental, Vision, LTD, FSA, HSA, voluntary benefits.
  • Manage Equity Programs using Equity Edge and Computershare.
  • Manage the Open Enrollment process and Wellness Program.
  • Monitor and support ACA Compliance, including ongoing administration work and submission of fees.
  • Maintain communication & positive relationships with key vendors in the US and Canada.
  • Partner with Mercer consultants on various benefits related projects.
  • Provide ongoing benefits education and communication to all employees, including Managers in Training and corporate New Hires.
  • Implement plan design and system changes to improve our employee experience and enhance efficiencies.
  • Administer the Stop Loss program. 
  • Support the administration of Canadian benefits.
  • Support the acquisition of new companies (benefits plan comparison, special enrollment, etc.). 
  • Prepare annual Benefits plan budgets.
  • Prepare and provide Proxy Data for Officer Compensation.
  • Provide Insider Reporting to the SEC.
  • Coordinates the preparation of 5500’s for all benefits plans. 
  • Maintain the annual Benefit Guide.
  • Support ongoing benefits Audits.


Requirements:

  • Bachelors in Human Resources, Business or relevant field.
  • 7+ years of Benefits Administration experience.
  • Expertise with Benefits platforms such as bSwift or similar software.
  • Proficiency with benefits concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Track record of success in creating & sustaining a team focused on customer service.
  • Ability to manage projects, timelines and deliverables.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle details when needed.
  • Evidence of self-initiative, personal accountability, and follow through.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with agility to juggle competing tasks and demands.
  • High level of discretion with confidential material.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
